Kickspace heaters, also called toe
space heaters are compact under cabinet heaters. When all the wall space is used up by
appliances and cabinets in your kitchen, basement or den, a toe-space heater
will fit where no other heater will. It can slide into toe space areas under
cabinets or into the soffit area above them. It can also be recessed into the
risers of a stairway or under the vanity in the bathroom.
How a kickspace heater works – cool
air is pulled into the front grille, heated up, then blown out of the other side
of the front grille. Kickspace heaters come in 1000 or 1500 with 120 volts, 1000
to 2000 Watts with 240 volts. Please make sure you check your voltages before
Helpful tips: It’s not recommended to install a heater in
a toe-kick area directly under sink where a person may stand for an extended
length of time due to discharge of hot air. A 3-foot minimum clearance is required
for furniture or other objects placed directly in front of heater.
Some of our heaters come with a fan
delay relay which keeps the fan running after the heating element stops. As
soon as the heater is turned off, the fan keeps running which helps to cool
down the heating element. This type of heater comes equipped with an
automatic over temperature protector that guards against overheating.
Before you start:
How do you want to control this heater?
They can be controlled with an optional built-in or wall mounted thermostat
which helps in regulating the room temperature.
If you are replacing an existing
heater double check the heater's voltage and unit dimensions. Kickspace heaters
look similar but they come in different sizes.
